Like all DUIT products I have tried this has been amazing. I used this on first sign of my 18months old boys nappy rash and within a few hours it was clear.

Being on the most sensitive part of my child I always get a little concerned trying new things but this has been great has also created a barrier for the next change keeping him free from rash.

I’ve also used this on a bad burn he got from a runny poo and he was quite sore but this soothed him instantly. This stuff is magic!

Are your DU’IT products made in Australia?

Yes, we’re pretty passionate about supporting the local economy and sustaining Australian jobs.

I read that DU’IT Baby products contain natural ingredients and organic oils. Why are they not 100% natural?

We have always given top priority to ingredients of natural origin and source most of the active principles and ingredients used in our products from the plant world.

However, some ingredients are essential to the preservation, stability and sensory qualities of our products, and for which no alternative exists in nature. Some ingredients of natural origin are not compatible with our high standards of efficiency and safety, or are unpleasant to use. In this case, we use synthetic ingredients assessed by key health authorities and approved by regulatory authorities, which have been proven to be effective and safe for even the most delicate skin.

From what age can you use DU’IT Baby products?

You can use every DU’IT Baby products from the moment your baby is born. Their safety and efficacy are verified before launch in the market by an independant toxicologist expert: combining efficacy, safety and unique sensory pleasure, they have been specifically designed to meet the everyday needs of the skin of newborns, babies and children and respect its extremely delicate nature.

What is nappy rash?

Nappy rash is a common skin disorder in infancy. It’s caused by prolonged contact with urine and faeces, along with chafing and heat. In its mildest form, the skin can be moist with a red, slightly rough and angry appearance. Nappy rash can also cause burning and itching that can result in restlessness, irritability and sleep problems. It should be addressed when first seen.

How can I treat nappy rash?

Nappy rash is a contact-based skin condition and therefore responds well to barrier protection. DU’IT Nappy Change Cream include  20% zinc oxide, an excellent treatment and skin protector. Nappy rash should respond within 24 hours. However, if the rash doesn’t clear within three days, there might be a secondary bacterial or fungal infection. In this situation it’s best to consult either an early childhood nurse or doctor.

How can I avoid nappy rash?

Fresh air and “nappy-free” time are two of the best ways of avoiding nappy rash. DU’IT Baby Liquid Powder absorbs moisture (the leading cause of nappy rash), which helps keep baby’s bottom drier and rash free.

When should I apply DU’IT Nappy Change Cream?

DU’IT Nappy Change Cream should be applied to your baby’s skin at each nappy change or at the first sign of redness. You can also use our nappy rash cream at bath time as a barrier to seal out wetness and prevent breakouts of nappy rash.

How can I prevent redness from appearing on my baby’s bottom?

Redness in the diaper area is a frequent and generally benign occurrence in babies.

It is due to prolonged contact with faeces and urine, and appears most especially in the case of diarrhoea, antibiotic treatments or during teething.

– To prevent its appearance, we recommend that you change your baby’s diaper regularly, as soon as possible after it becomes soiled.

– Cleanse their bottom thoroughly with a suitable product, and then dry completely, not forgetting the folds.

– As a preventive measure, with each diaper change apply a specific cream such as DU’IT Baby Nappy Change Cream, which will isolate baby’s skin from harsh factors thanks to the protective action of zinc oxide.

Can I use DU’IT Nappy Change Cream if my baby doesn’t have nappy rash?

Yes! DU’IT Nappy Change Cream is specially formulated for use on all skin types and regular use will help to prevent nappy rash and maintain healthy skin. Babies with sensitive skin successfully use the range.

My baby has eczema and very sensitive skin – is there a suitable DU’IT Baby product for me to use?

All DU’IT Baby products are very gentle and have been created with sensitive skin in mind.  We have a variety of bathing products that may be suitable.  The DU’IT 3-in-1 Baby Wash and Baby Body Moisturiser are our most basic products that have moisturising oils in them, designed for bathing without dryness.

What are the specificities of baby’s skin?

Thinner than adults’ skin, baby’s skin is much more fragile. Immature, it doesn’t yet assume completely its barrier role against external aggressions and is unable to maintain a good level of hydration.

DU’IT’s researchers have also revealed that the skin of a newborn has a surprising source of strength: a unique cellular reserve that is at its maximum at birth, yet remains vulnerable, during the first few years of life. These original cells play a life-long major role for the skin: they ensure that the skin is able to regenerate and are responsible for maintaining its overall balance against aggressors from the outside environment.

To preserve this unique cellular richness and to support its development, baby’s skin absolutely needs to be reinforced and protected on a daily basis by adapted skin care.

Are your products tested on animals?

Is this product vegan?

DU’IT Skin Care upholds holistic principals but does not ascribe to a vegetarian or vegan philosophy.
